Summary
The Human Resources Assistant supports the Training & Qualifications area of the Human Resources Department. This position will assist in HRIS maintenance, record keeping, and other functions. This position provides extensive computer support and requires strong computer and organization skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Monitoring various HR inboxes and assist employees with issues accessing HR systems for training and policy distribution.
* Create and maintain employee folders including downloading of onboarding documentation, filing new documentation, and archiving folders.
* Initiate and track employee I-9 completion.
* Maintain various employee HR databases, employee recordkeeping, data security and integrity, and personnel information reporting. Data entry may include but is not limited to employee list updates, Role Player (RP) I-9s, training, and background checks.
* Participate in special projects for the training and qualifications team.
* Assist employees with basic HR inquires.
* Provide quality control of all data entered into the HRIS systems.
* Maintain records to assure compliance with EEO and affirmative action legislation.
* Maintain confidentiality of applicant, employee, and proprietary company information.
* Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* A minimum of two years administrative experience which includes providing general human resources support resources such as HR record keeping and document processing preferred.
* Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Pivot table experience a plus.
* Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

* Knowledge of HR and office administration procedures.
* Ability to operate standard office equipment.
* Experience in a multi-company setting is preferred.
* Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
* Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve specific problems and cope with deadlines effectively.
* Contribute to the fostering of positive office morale; be a team player.
* Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining a professional demeanor.
* Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with applicants, employees, and managers at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent telephone and email skills.
* Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule
40 hours per week and occasional overtime.

Work Environment
Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
Physical Demands
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 10 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities.
